Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an ICU RN for a high-acuity step-down unit in Ohio. The role requires an OH or compact RN license and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, with a minimum of 2 years of experience. ECG exam is required on the first day of the assignment.

The unit features a 6-bed high-acuity setup, COVID care, 1:2 patient ratios, and daily 12-hour shifts from 7am to 7pm. Expect weekend rotations, telemetry/MedSurg float, and travel-friendly benefits.

Qualifications

• Active OH or compact RN license required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• ECG exam required on first day of assignment.

Responsibilities

• Acute care ICU unit with 6 private beds functioning as a high acuity step-down, low acuity ICU.
• Serves as the hospital's current COVID unit.
• Patient ratios of 1 to 2.
• Common diagnoses include sepsis, COPD, DKA, overdose, renal issues, surgical cases, and respiratory issues.
• Uses TruBridge - Evident (CPSI-Evident) EMR system.
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7am-7pm.
• Every other weekend required.
• Floating required to Telemetry/MedSurg unit.
• One shift of floor orientation provided.
• Travelers typically do not work holidays, depending on schedule and permanent staff availability.
• Scrub color requirement: Royal Blue.
• N95 masks provided and used for 24 hours before replacement.
