Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift assignment in Washington. The role requires at least 2 years of ICU experience and an active WA or compact RN license.

Certifications include ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; TNCC preferred. Responsibilities include care of septic, post-arrest, ventilated, and multi-system ICU patients, with three 12-hour night shifts (19:00–7:30). Epic EMR familiarity is required, with travel between facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required

• ICU nursing in Neuro/Surgical/Trauma/Medical ICU setting preferred
• Experience with arterial/central lines and IV sedation management
• BiPAP/CPAP and ventilatory support knowledge
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Treat a range of critical ICU patients including sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, and multi-system organ failure
• Night shift: three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Operate and monitor using Spacelabs telemetry, Lifepak defibrillators, and other ICU equipment
• Epic EMR experience required
• Floating between facilities as needed
• Provide critical care nursing across Neuro, Surgical, Trauma or Medical ICUs
• Attend to holidays as part of scheduling
• Disclose prior Providence facility work history as required

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and a WA or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• TNCC certification preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and care of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure patients
• Experience with IV therapy, arterial and central line management, continuous IV sedation, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Skilled in BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, ABG interpretation, and ETT/NT suctioning
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Work in a General ICU setting treating sepsis, post cardiac arrest, IABP, COVID, respiratory failure, severe DKA, multi-system organ failure, CIWA, GI bleed, renal failure, and stroke patients
• Night shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Uses Spacelabs telemetry monitors, Lifepak defibrillators and transport monitors, Belmont rapid infuser for MTP, IABP, PA catheters, and ventilators
• Epic EMR experience required
• Floating required as needed, including between sister facilities
• Provide critical care nursing to patients across a range of complex ICU diagnoses in a Neuro, Surgical, Trauma, or Medical ICU setting
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer requests may not be accommodated
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former Providence permanent employees must be separated from the health system for at least 3 months before returning as travelers and must not currently reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius are subject to local rate rules
• Must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including as permanent staff, traveler, or registry/per-diem
