American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift contract in North Carolina. Requires 2+ years ICU experience and NC or Compact RN licensure in a Level 3 Trauma center.

Responsibilities include caring for ventilated and high-acuity patients, with RN-to-patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:3, 12-hour shifts, and occasional floating across Region 1 facilities. EPIC EMR is used; travel perks apply.

Qualificações

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, most recent within the last year
• Critical care skills include vasopressor and sedation management, insulin, invasive lines, rhythm interpretation
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a supervisor, manager, director, or charge RN

Responsabilidades

• 40-bed ICU with full census
• Patient mix includes ventilated, stroke, thrombectomy, overdose, GI bleed, and some trauma
• Utilizes opti-flow, BiPAP, endotool, and CRRT therapies
• RN to patient ratio 1:1 to 1:3
• 12-hour night shifts 1900–0700, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within Region 1 facilities based on staffing needs
• Unit-specific equipment includes Arctic Sun, Hemosphere, Belmont rapid transfuser, life flow devices
• Hardwire and travel telemetry box monitoring available
• Provide critical care nursing to a high-acuity ICU population
• Support team includes 24/7 charge nurse, respiratory therapy, hospitalist, and intensivist coverage

• Critical care skills required including vasopressor and sedation gtts, insulin management, invasive line management (ART/CVP), cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, ventilator management, blood products administration, and wound care
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Responsibilities

• 40-bed Intensive Care Unit with full census
• Patient population includes ventilated patients, stroke and thrombectomy cases, overdose patients, GI bleeds, and some trauma patients
• Utilizes opti-flow, BiPap, endotool, and CRRT therapies
• RN to patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:3
• 12-hour night shift schedule (1900-0700), 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required within Region 1 facilities (Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division including CMC Main, Mercy, and LCH peds) based on staffing needs
• EPIC EMR system used
• Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors in use
• Unit-specific equipment includes Arctic Sun, Hemosphere, Belmont rapid transfuser, and life flow devices
• Hardwire and travel telemetry box monitoring available
• Provide critical care nursing to a high-acuity ICU population including ventilated, stroke, and overdose patients
• Support team includes 24/7 charge nurse, respiratory therapy, hospitalist, and intensivist coverage, plus CNA assistance with ADLs, mobility, and blood draws
• RN responsible for phlebotomy with limited backup support available
• Travel nurses will be prioritized for floating assignments and must be adaptable to working within scope on other units
• Orientation includes New Employee Orientation (NEO) and 2 days of departmental orientation
• Holiday coverage required for approximately 75% of holidays
• Up to 6 days of RTO may be approved, excluding holidays, with any shortfall added to the end of the contract
• Navy scrub color required
• Free designated parking available for travelers
• Unit culture emphasizes strong teamwork across day and night shifts
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Previous employees must have been separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year following a permanent position before being eligible for a travel assignment
