Job summary
American Traveler Staffing Professionals™ is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week assignment in a Tennessee facility. The role includes 3x12-hr day shifts on a 36-hour work week, with floating to PCU and Med-Surg as needed and no on-call requirements.
The ideal candidate has active TN or compact RN licensure, at least 1 year ICU experience, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS; PALS is preferred. Ventilator management and vasoactive drip titration are key skills.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with critical care skills including ventilator management and vasoactive drip titration for a 13-week assignment.
- ICU setting with 3x12-hour day shifts (6:30 AM-7:00 PM) on a 36/36 schedule
- Floating to PCU (1:5 ratio) and Med-Surg (1:7 ratio) as needed
- No call requirements
- Epic charting system preferred
- Active TN or compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
- AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA certification is the only accepted form)
- PALS certification preferred
- Critical care skills required including IV therapy, central line care, arterial line management, and blood product administration
- Respiratory skills required including ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and BiPAP/CPAP management
- Experience with cardiac drip titration, vasoactive drip management, and dysrhythmia interpretation required
- Experience with CVA/acute stroke management and cardiac monitoring required
- Experience with continuous IV sedation and emergency medication administration required
- Preferred skills include CRRT/CVVHD, EVD, ICP monitoring, Impella, IABP, and Swan Ganz monitoring
- Preferred experience in Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, and Burn units
- Preferred skills include GI surgery care and IV insulin protocol management
- Care for critically ill patients requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring and life support interventions
- General orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning modules
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit-testing guidelines
- Must reside 100 miles from the facility with no local candidates accepted
- Contract nursing staff are expected to support nursing student education alongside clinical care duties
