Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring an Ohio or compact RN license and prior Endoscopy experience.

You will work day shifts in an hospital Endoscopy unit, with on-call duties and variable start times. Vaccines (COVID-19 and flu) are required unless exemptions apply.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license or compact state license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required, active and in hand.
• Minimum of 12 months of permanent Endoscopy experience required.
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty, from an assignment within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccine required, with medical or religious exemptions only
• Flu vaccine required, with medical or religious exemptions only

Responsibilities

• Endoscopy unit within a hospital setting.
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts, with start times varying between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM.
• No weekend shifts required unless called in.
• On-call responsibilities include 1-2 weekday call shifts per week after regular shift until 7:00 AM.
• On-call responsibilities include 1-2 weekend 24-hour call shifts (Saturday and Sunday) every 6 weeks.
• Required response time of one hour when called in.
• Provide direct patient care within the Endoscopy department.
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation, with up to two attempts to pass.
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate.
• Expected to work every other holiday.
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their previous end date.
• Nurses are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement
