Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a long-term care facility in Dubuque, IA. You will provide high-quality nursing care to residents, manage chronic conditions, and support frail older adults on a 12-hour day shift (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM).

Travel assignments require strong care coordination and documentation in the EHR. Requirements include ADN/BSN, Iowa (or Compact) RN licensure, and BLS certification; CGN or gerontology credential is preferred.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited program.
• Active RN license in Iowa or a Compact/NLC license.
• BLS certification is required.
• Gerontological credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical assessments and monitor residents for acute changes.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy as ordered; follow facility protocols.
• Provide routine wound care and skin integrity management, including pressure ulcer prevention.
• Document care, treatments, and responses in the EHR/EMR accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to update individualized care plans.
• Educate residents and families on disease management, meds, and safety planning.
• Facilitate smooth transitions of care within the facility or to higher-level care when needed.
