Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Illinois, requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and Epic charting proficiency.

The ideal candidate holds an active Illinois RN license with ASN; BSN is preferred and BLS/ACLS/PALS are required.

You will provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ED, perform assessments, update care plans, and collaborate with the care team, with shifts and travel logistics outlined in the contract.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association).
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience.
• ASN required, BSN preferred.
• Level 1 Trauma experience required.
• Epic charting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Department environment.
• Perform patient assessments, develop and modify care plans, and implement nursing interventions in collaboration with the care team.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation.
• Uphold safety standards and report or correct safety hazards.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with staff, patients, and families.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Epic charting experience required

Responsibilities

• Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department setting
• Day shift schedule from 7:00AM-7:30PM
• 3 12-hour shifts per week with a 2-week night shift rotation per contract
• No block scheduling
• 1 call shift per 6-week schedule
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage on a rotation basis
• Floating required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Department environment
• Perform patient assessments, develop and modify care plans, and implement nursing interventions in collaboration with the care team
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation
• Uphold safety standards and report or correct safety hazards
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with staff, patients, and families
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
