Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week night shift assignment at a Level 3 Trauma Center in Spokane Valley, WA.

WA or compact RN license and 2+ years of ED experience required. This travel assignment offers a fast-paced, team-based environment with 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours weekly, comprehensive certifications required, Epic EMR, and strong support from techs and hospital staff.

Qualifications

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS certifications required
• CPI or MOAB certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required; 5 years preferred
• Skills: TNK administration, conscious sedation, chest tube management, central line care
• Epic EMR experience required

Responsibilities

• 123-bed Level 3 Trauma Center community hospital in Spokane Valley, WA
• Emergency Services unit with 21 beds, 8 hallway beds, 5 fast track beds, and 4-12 outpatient overflow/secondary fast track beds
• Patient ratio of 1:4, organized in pods with 8 patients shared among 3 nurses
• 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• 24/7 support from techs, charge nurse, receptionist/HUC, respiratory therapy, and hospitalist
• ER techs are phlebotomy certified; VAT team available M-F 8-4:30 for IV support
• Uses Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Bedside and nurses' station telemetry monitoring available
• Orientation includes 1-week NEO, Epic training, skills and site check-offs, position-specific check-off, and 2-3 precepted shifts
• MHS Tele Test required prior to arrival
• Scrubs may be any professional color
• Free parking available
• 1 holiday coverage expected per contract
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be approved
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
