Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Texas, requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least 2 years of ER experience. Certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC are required, with Epic EMR experience also necessary.

Responsibilities

• Care for adult and pediatric ED patients in a combined setting.

• Work night shifts 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, weekends/holidays required.
• Document in Epic and coordinate with STEMI/Stroke certified team.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Dept position requiring a TX or compact license and 2+ years of ER experience.

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Epic EMR experience required
• Preferred: previous charge experience
• Preferred: Trauma Level II experience
• Skills in pediatric, psychiatric, IV therapy, respiratory, neurological, and cardiac monitoring care
• Skills in triage and isolation precautions/PPE
• State issued ID required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Combined Adult/Pediatric General Emergency Department setting
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Weekend and holiday shifts required
• Epic charting system required
• Provide emergency care across adult and pediatric populations including trauma, psychiatric, respiratory, and neurological cases
• Works in a STEMI and Stroke Certified facility
• RTO limited to 5 non-consecutive days, with only one holiday RTO request allowed during Nov-Jan season
• All RTO must be approved by management prior to contract signing
• Local candidates within 90 miles are accepted at a lower rate
• Military certifications accepted; AHA certifications preferred; ARC not accepted
