American Traveler is seeking an experienced Travel RN for an Emergency Department assignment in Colorado. You will hold an active CO or compact RN license and bring ED nursing experience to a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role features 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, and 13-week length with potential on-call and occasional float duties. Epic charting will be used for documentation, and certs must be current.

Qualifications

• Active CO or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience required.
• ASN required, BSN preferred.
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
• TNCC, ENPC, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Certifications must not expire prior to assignment start date.
• Epic charting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced ED setting.
• Provide health teaching, counseling, and therapeutic treatment to patients.
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Refer and monitor patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.

Details

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department
• Variable mid and night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts
• May be required to float to other departments based on business need
• May be required to take on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses Epic for clinical documentation
