American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an ER RN for a Level IV Trauma, Critical Access Hospital in Alaska. The role requires at least 1 year of ER experience and AK RN licensure, with mandatory AK RN license and certifications (ACLS, BLS, PALS; TNCC preferred).

The position involves 3x12 hour shifts (day and night), weekend work, and potential floating to sister facilities. Housing and travel reimbursements are provided for eligible travelers.

Qualifications

• Previous charge experience required.
• Skills include respiratory care, ventilated patient care, meds administration, sedation administration/monitoring, cardiac monitoring and emergency response, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, IV therapy/phlebotomy.
• Continuous IV sedation experience preferred.
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required.

Responsibilities

• Provide ED nursing care in a Level IV Trauma, Critical Access setting.
• Work 3x12 hour shifts; day and night rotations on a variable schedule.
• Weekend shifts required; no on-call requirement.
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs, may float to sister facilities.
• Use Epic charting system and provide care across acute conditions.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an ER RN for a Level IV Trauma, Critical Access Hospital setting requiring at least 1 year of ER experience and AK RN licensure.

Requirements

• Active AK RN license required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (TNCC preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of ER experience required
• Previous charge experience required
• Skills required include respiratory care, care of ventilated patients, medication administration, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, cardiac monitoring and emergency response, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and IV therapy/phlebotomy
• Continuous IV sedation experience preferred
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care medical center that also includes long-term care and outpatient services
• Level IV Trauma, Critical Access Hospital with 46 acute care beds and 22 LTC beds
• 3x12 hour shifts, including both day (7:00-19:00) and night (19:00-7:00) rotations on a variable schedule
• Weekend shifts required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs required, including potential floating to sister facilities
• Uses Epic charting system
• Provide emergency department nursing care across a variety of acute conditions
• Scrub color is any or business casual
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside the 50-mile radius
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility, whether as permanent staff, travel, or per-diem/registry
• RTO requests should be submitted upfront, with commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
