American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week assignment in Illinois. Requires IL licensure, 2 years of ED experience, and ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications.

The role is based in a 65-bed acute care hospital with 1:4 adult/pediatric ratios, day shifts 3x12 hours, every other weekend. Cerner is used for charting; travel benefits include housing and licensure reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
• Experience with both adult and pediatric patients.
• Cerner charting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a 65-bed acute care hospital.
• Maintain 1:4 patient ratios in a combined adult/pediatric ED setting.
• Day shift schedule: 3x12 hours, 12:00–00:00.
• Every other weekend required.
• Provide emergency nursing care across cardiac, respiratory, neuro, and ortho trauma.
• Use Cerner charting system; no block scheduling accommodations.

• Skills in triage, 12-lead EKG/ECG, IV therapy, splint application, and emergency medication administration required

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a 65-bed acute care hospital
• Combined adult/pediatric general ED setting with 1:4 patient ratios
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 12:00-00:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Uses Cerner charting system
• No block scheduling accommodations available
• Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of adult and pediatric cases including cardiac monitoring, respiratory, neurological, and orthopedic trauma
• Located less than 1 hour from St. Louis and about 45 minutes from Scott Air Force Base
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Scrubs may be any color; no tee shirts, sweatshirts, or logos from other organizations permitted
• Candidates must live more than 30 miles from the facility
• RTO must be discussed directly with the manager during the interview
• First-time travelers are welcome, though prior travel experience is preferred
