Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department assignment in California. CA RN license, EPIC EMR experience, and ACLS/PALS are required. This role involves 12-hour shifts and 36-48 hours per week, with housing and licensure reimbursements available.

The position emphasizes delivering coordinated nursing care, collaborating with the healthcare team, and ensuring patient safety and education. No RTO longer than 5 days; local rates match travel rates during assignments.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC).
• ACLS and PALS certifications required (AHA-ACLS / ARC-ALS and AHA-PALS / ARC-PALS).
• Minimum three years of ED experience.
• BSN preferred.
• Acute care facility experience preferred.
• No prior adverse licensure actions permitted.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital.
• 36-48 hours per week with 12-hour shifts (12:00-00:30 or 15:00-03:30).
• Deliver coordinated nursing care using the nursing process.
• Supervise and direct assigned nursing staff and coordinate across disciplines.
• Collect and analyze patient data for diagnosis and care planning.
• Implement care plans and evaluate patient progress toward outcomes.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe care.
• Provide education and participate in discharge planning.
• No RTO longer than 5 days; local rates match travel rates.
• Submit to one Adventist Health hospital at a time.
