Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced ER RN for night shifts in Texas. Requires 2+ years in ED, TX or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS/PALS/TNCC, and Epic EMR experience. Duties include triage, medications, monitoring, and ventilator care. Navy blue scrubs, 3x12s, 1:4 patient ratio. First-time travelers welcome; local candidates within 90 miles considered.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC
• Military-issued certifications accepted; AHA preferred; ARC not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skilled in respiratory care, BiPAP/CPAP management, and care of ventilated patients
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line care/management
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE, triage, and medication administration
• Experience with IV vasopressors, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response to dysrhythmias
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Epic EMR experience required
• Provide emergency nursing care including triage, medication administration, and cardiac monitoring
• Navy blue scrubs required and not provided by the facility
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates residing within 90 miles are accepted
• RTO requests limited to 5 non-consecutive days, with only one holiday RTO request allowed during the Nov-Jan holiday season, subject to management approval prior to contract signing
