Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring CA RN licensure and ACLS/PALS certification for night shift work.

This role features a night schedule (6:00 PM–6:30 AM) with 36 or 48 hours weekly, hospital network setting, and EPIC EMR experience preferred. Local or travel candidates are welcome, with housing and licensure reimbursement options available.

Qualifications

• Active RN license issued by the State of California.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• At least 1 year of RN experience in the last 24 months with acute critical care experience in the last 12 months (or EMT/ED Tech with 2+ years).
• Minimum 3 years of ER specialty experience.
• No prior negative licensure actions.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital network.
• Night shift, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM.
• 36 or 48 hours per week as determined by the manager.
• ER and ICU experience preferred with possible floating.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• MICN certification desired to be completed within one year of hire.
• MICN, NRP, TNCC, and CEN certifications encouraged.
• Must comply with HIPAA and confidentiality regulations.
• Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, and repetitive hand motions.
• Occasional lifting, pulling, pushing, or transferring of patients.
• Vaccinations up to date; exemptions considered.
• Local candidates accepted at same rate as travel candidates with no radius restriction.
• Travelers may be placed at one facility within the health system at a time.
