Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an Emergency Department RN for a night-shift travel assignment in Burlington, NC. Requires 2+ years ER experience and STEMI/Stroke background, plus Epic EMR proficiency.

The role features 3x12s (7pm–7:30am) with occasional 3pm–3am shifts, no call duties, and needs candidates living 50+ miles away. Travel housing and licensure support provided.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) in hand at time of consideration.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• STEMI and Stroke facility experience required.

Responsibilities

• General Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric populations.
• Non-trauma emergency department at a STEMI and Stroke certified facility.
• Care for cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health patients.
• Patient ratio of 1:4.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7p-7:30a, with occasional 3p-3a shifts as needed.
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required as needed.
• No call requirements.
• Floating to any Cone Health campus may be required.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• Care for wide range of emergency conditions including cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and trauma-related cases.
• Hospital specialties include cath lab, women's health, and stroke care.
• All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam with up to two attempts allowed.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local rates apply.
• RTO must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted
