Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ED RN for a fast-paced emergency department in Bowling Green, KY. The role requires TNCC certification and night shift availability (7:00 PM–7:00 AM).

Active KY or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, at least two years of RN experience, and no major gaps in work history are required. Candidates outside a 50-mile radius preferred. Comprehensive benefits and housing support are offered.

• TNCC certification required for ED placement.

Responsibilities

• Care for adult and pediatric ED patients in a 20-bed department.
• Maintain patient ratio and efficient ED flow.
• Perform laceration repairs, reductions, intubations, LPs, I&Ds, and splinting.
• Provide clear discharge instructions and support patient experience using AIDET and rounding.
• Move patients safely through ED visits with quality care.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ED RN for a fast-paced emergency department requiring TNCC certification and night shift availability.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• 20-bed Emergency Department with an average daily volume of 105 patients


• Patient ratio of 4:1


• Treats both adult and pediatric emergency patients


• Unit staffed with RNs, unit clerk/monitor tech, paramedics, and advanced care techs


• Uses GE monitors for patient monitoring


• Charting completed in Meditech


• Performs procedures including laceration repairs, closed reductions, intubations, lumbar punctures, I&Ds, and splinting


• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM


• Every other weekend required, 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts


• No floating required


• Assess, treat, and manage adult and pediatric emergency patients in a collaborative environment


• Provide clearly defined discharge instructions and a strong patient experience using AIDET, communication boards, and rounding


• Move patients efficiently and safely through their ED visit while maintaining quality care


• Tenured staff and charge nurses supporting both day and night shifts


• Average discharge LOS is 150 minutes and admitted LOS is 240 minutes with few extended admission holds


• Engaged provider group known for seeing patients quickly with few complaints


• Scrubs required in any color with solid pants; print tops and jackets allowed; camo, denim, hoodies, and fleece are not permitted


• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
