Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER Registered Nurse for a mid-shift assignment at a hospital and trauma centre in Wisconsin. Active WI or compact RN licensure and TNCC/TNS certification are required, along with BLS/ACLS/PALS and NIHSS.

The role involves ED responsibilities, 0900-2130 or 1030-2300 shifts, and a 13-week contract. May be required to cover a second ED location in Janesville. Comprehensive benefits and housing allowances are offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Utilises the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, and standards of care
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
• Develops and executes individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by physician or clinic policy
• Participates in department performance improvement activities and shared governance
• Provides clinical expertise and guidance to other units in support of patient care plans
• Utilises critical thinking for patient safety and escalates concerns through the appropriate chain of command
• Participates in professional nursing continuum, unit practice activities, and peer review processes
