Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department assignment in Texas. The role requires active TX or Compact RN licensure and certifications in BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, and NIHSS. Minimum 1 year ED experience is needed; 2+ years is preferred.

Shifts are 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with rotating nights and weekends. The 13-week contract features a 32+ bed ED, Meditech EMR, and a team-based environment with CNCs, RNs, Medics, and PCTs.

Qualifications

• Active RN license TX or Compact
• Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 1 year ED experience; 2+ years preferred
• Experience with LP, intubations, TNK, laceration repair, sutures, splinting
• No 90+ day employment gaps in past 12 months
• SSN and DOB required; one reference
• Must reside >50 miles from facility; local candidates not considered

• Patient ratio 4:1; uses Meditech EMR
• 13-week contract with 7:00 AM–7:00 PM shifts
• Nights and weekends rotate; 4 weekend shifts per schedule

• Provide emergency care for acute and trauma cases; procedures include LPs, intubations, laceration repairs

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of recent ED experience required
• More than 2 years of experience preferred
• Experience with LP, intubations, TNK administration, laceration repair, suture removal, and splinting
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and DOB required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required

Responsibilities

• Work in a 32+ bed Emergency Department within a hospital setting
