Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for Emergency Department night shift in New Mexico. Requires NM or compact RN license and TNCC/ATCN certification. Competitive benefits and travel-friendly assignment.

Position includes 7:00 PM–7:00 AM shifts, 13-week contract, and every other weekend with potential housing/salary support for travelers.

Qualifications

  • Current New Mexico RN license or compact state RN license required.
  • BLS certification from AHA required.
  • ACLS certification from AHA required.
  • PALS certification from AHA required.
  • TNCC or ATCN certification required.
  • CPI or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.

Responsibilities

  • Emergency Care unit (ECC) within a hospital setting.
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
  • 13-week full-time contract assignment.
  • Every other weekend requirement.
  • On-call is voluntary.
  • Floating required to other units as helping hands during low census periods.
  • Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, prioritizing care based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care.
  • Perform various point-of-care testing procedures.
  • Coordinate team assignments and delegate patient care tasks appropriatelyParticipate in orientation of new staff and students on the unit.
  • Must reside within 50 miles of the facility for local candidate consideration.
  • Candidates who previously worked at any CHRISTUS Health facility (non-travel) must have a 6-month separation period before starting a new travel assignment.
