Job summary

TalentBurst, Inc. is staffing the Centennial Medical Center CVICU in Nashville, TN. The 16-bed unit provides post-operative cardiac surgery care with on-site intensivists and a high-acuity team.

Ideal candidates possess strong CVICU/critical care experience, hemodynamic monitoring skills, ACLS/BLS, and experience with PA catheters; IABP, Impella, and CRRT are preferred. Weekend and holiday coverage required.

Qualifications

• Strong critical care experience, including CVICU exposure.
• Advanced hemodynamic monitoring required.
• ACLs/BLS certification or higher required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including ECMO, Centrimags, and HM3 LVADS.
• Perform central line insertion, Swan-Ganz catheter insertions, and intubations on unit.

Unit Specifics:
Number of Beds : 16
Patient Ratios : 1:2, 1:1 for certain device patients
Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Free floating charge nurse to assist staff. Unit secretary and Administrative Care Tech M-F 0730-1530. Student Nurse Externs on variable shifts that assist nurses by performing tech duties.
Type of equipment : Phillips bedside telemetry monitors, Hill-Rom beds, Alaris IV pumps
Documentation system: Meditech
Scheduling requirements: 2 weekends/month, 1 summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day), 2 Winter Holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day)
Floating policy: C/L employees float as needed, typically to other ICU's but can include other floors.
