Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a Travel RN for CVICU in Fort Worth, TX, for a 13-week assignment on the night shift. The unit features 16 beds and a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, staffed by 45 personnel. Travel RNs provide critical care in a high-acuity CVICU with ventilator, line, and chest tube management support.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in critical care, ventilator experience, and comfort with arterial/central lines and CRRT/ Impella equipment. Floating to adjacent ICUs may occur as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years of critical care experience (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or any Critical Care).
• Ventilator experience.
• Experience with arterial lines, central lines, and chest tubes management.

Responsibilities

• Perform hemodynamic monitoring and assessments.
• Manage arterial and central lines and chest tubes.
• Operate CVICU equipment and assist with CRRT/Impella support.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio and patient safety.

Must-Have:

• 2 years of critical care experience (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or any Critical Care specialty).
• Ventilator experience.
• Experience with Art lines, Central line, and Chest tube management.

Description:This position involves working as a Travel RN in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.

The unit features a total of 16 beds and is staffed by 45 personnel, including RNs.

There is a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio for both day and night shifts.

The technology utilized includes GE monitors, EV 1000, Hemispheres, CRRT (NextStage), Impella, Swan Ganz, arterial lines, chest tubes, and vents.

The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.

Candidates with specific experience in CVICU, CABG recovery, CRRT, and Impella will be preferred.

Typical procedures performed in this unit include hemodynamic monitoring, Swan Ganz catheterizations, arterial lines, and chest tube placements.

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player.

Floating opportunities may include Medical ICU, Neuro Surgical ICU, and Cardiac PCU.

The dress code requires scrubs in royal blue.

There are two weekend shifts required biweekly, and there is no on-call duty.
