Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a Registered Nurse for the CVICU in Towson, MD. This 13-week night-shift assignment requires strong post-operative cardiac care, including CABG, MVR, and AVR patients.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years CVICU experience, active RN license, and certifications (BLS, CPI, ACLS, NIH) with OCN/TNCC preferred. Willingness to float to other ICUs as needed is expected.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in Epic charting and collaborative with interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer blood products, perform phlebotomy, and manage central lines and ventilators.

Experience: 2 years of CVICU experience required; must have immediate open heart post-operative experience.

License: Must have an active RN license

Certifications: BLS, CPI, ACLS, NIH required; OCN and TNCC preferred.

Must-Have: Experience with direct care of open heart patients immediately post-operative.

Description:The CVICU Registered Nurse will work night shifts and provide high-quality care to patients.Candidates should have experience managing patients post-cardiac surgery, including CABG, MVR, and AVR.The unit handles a small average daily census of 3-5 patients.The registered nurse should be proficient in hemodynamic monitoring and familiar with various cardiac medications and interventions.Floating to other intensive care units may be required based on staffing needs.Weekend shifts will be required every third weekend, with additional coverage possible as needed.Attendance during holidays as scheduled is mandatory.This position requires the management of complex patient cases, including those on ECMO and CRRT.Candidates should be experienced in using charting systems, specifically Epic.Strong skills in patient assessment, critical thinking, and teamwork are essential for success in this role.The registered nurse will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.Effective communication and collaboration with medical staff and families are crucial.Additional skills include the ability to administer blood products, perform phlebotomy, and manage central lines and ventilators.
