Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab/EP RN for a fast-paced interventional cardiac program in New Mexico. You will provide cath lab support including scrub and circulate roles, with a focus on diagnostic and interventional procedures and patient monitoring.

The role requires at least 1 year of cath lab experience, an active NM or compact RN license, and current ACLS/BLS certifications. Expect 4x10-hour days, call requirements, and floating to related units as needed.

Qualifications

• Active NM or compact RN license required; compact accepted if obtained prior to start
• ACLS and BLS required; RCIS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required
• Skilled in cardioversion, circulating procedures, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, left and right heart catheterization, and Swan-Ganz monitoring
• Scrub procedure experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including scrub and circulate roles
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation medications
• Receive brief orientation when floating to unit within scope
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; locals are not accepted
• Former staff must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
