Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab role in the United States. Requires 2+ years cath lab experience and an active OH or compact RN license, plus BLS/ACLS. This travel position offers competitive pay, benefits, and housing/licensure support.

Typical day is Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm with on-call requirements. First-time travelers are welcome; travel pay applies to those living beyond 50 miles of the facility.

Qualifications

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required.
• Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring required.
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management required.
• Experience with left and right heart catheterization and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring required.
• US citizenship required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab performing diagnostic and interventional catheterizations.
• Patient population includes adult diagnostic and interventional catheterization cases.
• Utilizes specialized equipment including IABP, temporary pacemakers, permanent pacemakers, ICD, Micra, peripheral equipment, and Penumbra devices.
• Performs procedures including stent and balloon placement with conscious sedation.
• Lab staffing ratio is 2 nurses and 1 tech, with recovery area staffed at 2 nurses for up to 7 patients.
• Charting systems include Xper, Paragon, and Athena with training provided.
• Day shift schedule Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm.
• On-call requirement of 8-9 call shifts per 4-week schedule.
• One weekend on-call commitment per schedule cycle (Friday 4:30pm-Monday 7:30am) plus approximately 5 weekdays within a 4-week period.
• Floating limited to nuclear medicine for stress tests or sedation support for biopsies.
• Assignment may include time split between the lab and pre/post procedure areas.
• Provide direct patient care in both the cath lab and recovery/pre-post procedure areas.
• Scrubs are provided for this position.
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role.
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate.
