American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week Cardiology assignment in Illinois. Requires IL RN license and at least one year of cardiovascular lab or critical care experience.

The role is day shift 0800-1630 with on-call rotation roughly every 2nd-3rd weekend and 1-3 times per week. You will provide patient care throughout cardiovascular procedures and collaborate with physicians to update status.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required on hire and maintained.
• At least one year of hands-on clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab or Critical Care.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Full-time Cath Lab RN role in Cardiology and Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures.
• Day shift 0800-1630 with on-call rotation (~2nd-3rd weekend, 1-3 times/week).
• Deliver comprehensive patient care addressing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and provide updates on patient status before, during, and after procedures.
• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms and ensure equipment is calibrated.
• Manage case-specific supplies and inventory for efficient Cath Lab workflow.
• Monitor and interpret physiologic and hemodynamic data during procedures.
• Maintain thorough documentation and participate in CQI initiatives.

• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring equipment is functioning and properly calibrated
• Manage case-specific supplies and inventory to support efficient Cath Lab workflow
• Monitor and interpret physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient condition throughout Cardiovascular Lab visits
• Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives
