Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Cath Lab/EP RN for a diagnostic cardiac catheterization lab role in Kentucky. The position requires active KY/compact RN license, BLS/ACLS, and Epic EMR proficiency.

The role includes a day shift 4x10 schedule (7:00 AM–5:30 PM), travel experience, and a strict no-call policy; benefits include housing allowance and travel reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active KY or compact RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years Cath Lab experience required.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• At least 2 supervisory references required.
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures including PCI, TAVR, TEE, pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction, IABP and Impella, VAD, Watchman.

Responsibilities

• Perform scrub and monitoring duties for a range of cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
• Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab setting with day shifts; 4×10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Floating within scope of practice; holiday coverage expected.
• Strict no-call policy in place.
• Local candidates eligible with 75-mile radius; returning staff must observe break rules.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab/EP RN with Epic charting proficiency and prior travel assignment experience for a diagnostic cardiac catheterization lab role.

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab specialty experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• At least 2 supervisory references required
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, TAVR, TEE, valvuloplasty, pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction, IABP and Impella placement, VAD insertion, and Watchman procedures

• Must reside within 75 miles for local candidate rate eligibility, though local candidates are otherwise accepted
• Returning staff must be away from full-time, part-time, or per diem employment for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• After 1 year on assignment, a 90-day system break is required before returning as a traveler
• Applicants currently in process for a permanent role with the facility within the past 6 months are not eligible
• Any requested time off must be submitted upfront and reflected in the confirmation document
