Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with at least 2 years of RN experience and competency in diagnostic, interventional, and structural cath lab procedures. WV or Compact RN licensure is required, with ARRT registration and BLS/ACLS on file.

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in Cath Lab diagnostic/interventional/structural procedures.
• RCIS not accepted in lieu of RN licensure in WV.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Teaching hospital, LTAC and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred.
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
• Cerner charting experience preferred.
• Two Manager or Charge Nurse references from past 2 years required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cath Lab department of a short-term acute care hospital.
• Be part of a Level IV Trauma Center and teaching hospital affiliated with COTH.
• Manage a daily caseload of 8-10 cases per tech.
• Maintain patient ratio of 1:10.
• Work day shift 4x10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM.
• On-call with 30-minute response time.
• Weekend on-call rotation; first call and back-up call rotation.
• Minimal floating; staff primarily in Cath Lab.
• Use Cerner charting system.
• Provide direct patient care in cath lab diagnostic/interventional procedures, including structural heart cases.
• Scrubs provided; free traveler parking.

• Weekend on-call rotation from Friday 7 PM through Monday 7 AM, rotating AM/PM first call and back-up call
• Minimal floating expected, with staff primarily remaining in the Cath Lab
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Provide direct patient care in cath lab diagnostic and interventional procedures, including structural heart cases
• Scrubs are provided
• Free parking available for travelers
• No floating outside of the Cath Lab department expected
• No RTO restrictions
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; those within 75-99 miles may be considered case-by-case at facility approval
• Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from their last date of employment before returning as a traveler
• Current employees of the Vandalia Health System (including CAMC Health Systems, Mon Health Systems, Davis Medical Center, Broaddus Hospital, Webster Memorial Hospital, Grafton City Hospital, Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, and Minnie Hamilton Health System) are not eligible for this travel contract
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position; prior cath lab experience is required
