Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for an EP Lab position in Wisconsin. The candidate must have 2+ years in cath lab and IABP experience in acute care.

Responsibilities include assisting with complex EP procedures, staffing, patient education, and 30-minute call response. The role requires 4 shifts per week, with potential 5 shifts, and a rotating day off. Candidates must hold an active WI/Compact RN license and current BLS/ACLS certifications, plus 2 professional references

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• EP Lab in an acute care, Level 2 facility.
• 7 procedure rooms total (4 Cath Lab/EP and 3 IR).
• 20+ cases per day across all rooms.
• Ablations, EP studies with programmed stim, pacemaker/ICD placements, loop recorder implants.
• 4 ten-hour shifts per week (0700-1730) with a rotating day off; possible 5 eight-hour shifts (0730-1630).
• Weeknight/weekend call rotation; call response time 30 minutes.
• Uses Cerner and Merge EMR/equipment systems.
• Verify orders, perform head-to-toe assessments, educate patients, set up rooms, circulate cases, moderate sedation, assist anesthesia, monitor patients.
• STEMI call team coverage with 3 techs.

• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required
• IABP experience required

Responsibilities

• EP Lab (Electrophysiology Lab) within an acute care, Trauma Level 2 facility
• 7 procedure rooms total (4 Cath Lab/EP and 3 IR)
• 20+ cases per day across all rooms
• Patient population includes ablations (A.Fib, A.Flutter, SVT, VT), EP studies with programmed stim, pacemaker and ICD placements, and loop recorder implants
• Daily staffing varies from 3 to 4 person EP team
• 4 ten-hour shifts per week (0700-1730) with a rotating day off, with consideration for 5 eight-hour shifts (0730-1630)
• No weekends or holidays on the standard schedule, though holiday call may be required
• Weeknight and weekend call rotation required, approximately once every 3 weekdays and once every 3 weekends (Fri-Mon)
• Call response time is 30 minutes
• No floating required
• Uses Cerner and Merge EMR/equipment systems
• Responsibilities include verifying orders and consent, performing head-to-toe assessments, patient education, room setup, circulating cases, administering moderate sedation, assisting anesthesia providers, and continuous hemodynamic monitoring
• Participates in STEMI call team coverage alongside 3 techs
• 2 team leads manage scheduling and staffing and may assist with staffing duties when needed
• Unit-specific orientation typically includes 2-3 full days of training and shadowing with a buddy, no call during the first week, buddy call during the second week, and independent call thereafter
• Scrubs are provided, though candidates may wear their own scrub caps
• All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
• Previous employees of this facility are not eligible unless their end date is at least 6 months prior to application
• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local
