American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager for a day-shift hospital assignment in Georgia. Candidates must have 3+ years in case management and travel nursing experience, with an active GA license and BLS.

The role focuses on utilization review, discharge planning, and care coordination within a teaching/community hospital setting. No weekends or on-call; high compliance and strict orientation schedule apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of case management experience.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Experience with admission criteria, care coordination and discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Acute hospital Case Management/Utilization Review unit.
• Monday-Friday day shift schedule (5x8 hours, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM).
• No weekend requirements.
• No on-call requirements.
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed.
• Assess, evaluate, and drive discharge planning for assigned patients.
• Coordinate services to ensure patients receive appropriate level of care.
• Initiate, evaluate, and re-evaluate treatment plans daily.
• Monitor length of stay and identify barriers to discharge.
• Follow Medicare regulatory guidelines including patient choice, IMM notices, and MOON notices.
• Full compliance required to start on time, as delays may result in a two-week push back due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, finalized prior to start.
• No RTO permitted during orientation week.
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays within assignment.
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate.
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position.
• Previous Piedmont employees must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before returning as a traveler.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for a day-shift acute hospital assignment requiring 3+ years of case management experience and prior travel experience.

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of case management experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with any electronic charting system required
• Knowledge of InterQual Criteria and Milliman Guidelines
• Experience with admission criteria, care coordination, and discharge planning
• Experience with utilization review including appeals, denials, and concurrent reviews
• Familiarity with CMS, HIPAA, ICD-10 coding, and other regulatory standards
