American Traveler is seeking an RN for Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit duties in a Level 1 Trauma Center. This travel-friendly assignment requires PA or compact licensure and strong post-cardiac care experience, with EPIC EMR proficiency.

You will work day shifts 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, with every other weekend, no on-call; benefits include housing allowance, travel and licensure reimbursements, and a comprehensive benefits package. Must reside 60 miles or more from the facility.

Qualifikationen

• Active RN license (Compact or PA) currently in hand.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Post cardiac cath and cardiac care experience required.
• Must pass a dysrhythmia and medication dosage calculation test with the education department prior to starting on the unit.
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration.
• Active Nursys/licensure verification required at time of consideration.

Aufgaben

• Work in the Tele/PCU unit within a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Cardiac geriatric patient population including CP, MI, Open Heart, Watchman, and TAVR procedures.
• Post-op cardiac catheterization and post-op pacer patient care.
• Patient ratios of RN 1:5 and NA 10-12 on days, 20-22 on nights.
• Uses pacer and A-line equipment.
• Charts in EPIC.
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Every other weekend required.
• No call requirements.
• Not normally floated, though may float to 1:1 assignments depending on unit needs.
• Provide nursing care to cardiac geriatric patients recovering from cardiac catheterization, open heart surgery, and pacer placement.
• Supportive unit environment with a positive attitude valued.
• Orientation held weekly on Mondays.
• Scrubs may be any color; hoodies are not permitted and only nose stud piercings are allowed.
• No holiday RTO permitted during this assignment.
• Must complete required PA fingerprinting and background clearances prior to start, including Child Abuse History Clearance, Department of Human Services Fingerprinting, FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting, and PATCH State Police Clearance.
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered a travel candidate.
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months.
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment.
