Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Stepdown Cardiac RN for a night shift float pool assignment in North Carolina. Ideal candidates have stepdown/intermediate experience and EPIC proficiency to support multiple units in a high-volume acute care hospital.

Position involves a 19:00–07:00 schedule (3x12-hour shifts) with a 1:4 patient ratio and travel/float requirements. Housing, licensure reimbursement, and per diem arrangements are available through the agency.

• Stepdown/intermediate nursing experience required.
• EPIC charting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Stepdown float pool role rotating between multiple stepdown units based on greatest need
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Uses EPIC charting system
• Acute care hospital with 402 staffed beds
• Scrub colors are flexible (any solid color) except in ER, OR, and L&D units
• Facility performs its own pre-employment drug screening upon arrival in addition to standard credentialing
• Maximum RTO of 7 days permitted
• Facility unable to accommodate RTO during major holiday weeks
• Candidates must not reside in Moore County to be eligible for the travel position
• Former FirstHealth employees must have been separated from employment for at least one year to be considered
