Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a day shift in Maryland. Requires MD or Compact RN license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and telemetry experience. Works 3x12s, with every other weekend and holiday coverage. Navy-friendly scrubs optional per facility.

Unit handles adult cardiac, stroke/TIA, and post-cath patients, with remote monitoring and specialty drips. Housing and travel reimbursements available via the traveler program.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (MD state or Compact) required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Cardiac telemetry nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Cardiac Telemetry unit with an average daily census of 25 across 22 rooms/30 beds.
• Adult patient population with cardiac diagnoses, stroke/TIA, and post-cath patients.
• Remote telemetry monitoring via Hicuity System.
• Specialty drips include Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, Protonix, and Lasix.
• Uses Zebra phones, Alaris IV pumps, and Coviden feeding pumps.
• Day shift schedule 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Every other weekend required; floating within specialty as needed.
• No on-call requirements; holiday coverage as scheduled.

• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Cardiac telemetry nursing experience required

Responsibilities

• Cardiac Telemetry unit with an average daily census of 25 across 22 rooms/30 beds
• Adult patient population with primary or secondary cardiac diagnoses, primary stroke/TIA, and stable cardiac cath patients
• Remote telemetry monitoring via Hicuity System
• Specialty drips include non-titratable Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, Protonix, and Lasix
• Uses Zebra portable phones, Alaris IV pumps, and Coviden feeding pumps
• Day shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within the specialty to lower acuity units as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Provide telemetry nursing care to adult cardiac, stroke/TIA, and post-cath patients
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Navy blue scrubs required
