Northwell Health in Danbury, CT is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract. You will provide skilled nursing care using the nursing process, collaborate with physicians and the health team, and exercise leadership on a busy unit.

Requirements include ADN (BSN preferred), active RN license in NY or CT, and BLS with ACLS. You will assess patients, plan and implement care, educate families, and coordinate discharge planning to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; ADN required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in NY and/or CT.
• BLS required; ACLS as needed.

Responsabilités

• Assess physiologic health status and document plan of care.
• Assess psychosocial health status and support needs.
• Define patient outcomes and individualized goals.
• Formulate and prioritize the care plan to achieve outcomes.
• Implement the plan of care with safety and accuracy.
• Reassess and revise care plans as needed; administer meds.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team; delegate appropriately.
• Perform Decubitus care and skin assessments with aseptic technique.
• Educate patient and family on condition, treatment, and discharge.
• Plan for discharge; coordinate referrals and follow-up.
• Perform related duties as required.
