Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to support a specialized interventional unit. The role requires ARRT Radiography certification and KY/KBMIRT licensure, with a focus on cardiovascular, neurovascular, and interventional imaging.

Commissioning shifts include 3x12-hour days (7a–7p), with on-call duties on a rotating schedule. The candidate must possess licensure, CI credentials, and BLS/ACLS with NIHSS as part of the qualifications.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Program is required.
• KY license or a compact RN license is required.
• KBMIRT Radiography License required.
• ARRT Radiography Certification required.
• BLS, ACLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• No prior experience required.
• Must provide last 4 digits of SSN and month/day of birth for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Works in the Cardiac Cath Lab, EP Lab, and CV Observation services.
• Supports neuro interventions, caths, angioplasty, cardiac interventions, ablations, devices, TEEs, and cardioversions.
• First shift 3x12-hour shifts, 7a-7p.
• Weekends and holidays as needed.
• Call on an 8-week rotating schedule including 2 Fridays, 2 weekends, and 1-2 weekday call nights per week.
• Performs cardiovascular, endovascular, and neurovascular imaging and interventional procedures.
• Assists physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, including IABP/Impella, hemodynamic monitoring, and sheath removals/closure devices.
• Assists with permanent pacemaker and ICD implantation procedures.
• Performs interventional procedures such as thrombectomy, stenting, angioplasty, IVUS, OCT, FFR, and structural heart cases.
• Manages complications including air emboli, stroke, anaphylaxis, and cardiac tamponade.
• Maintains aseptic technique and radiation safety, applying ALARA principles for all exams.
• Performs and records quality control checks on equipment.
• Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility; local candidates accepted at a lower rate.
