American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Kentucky, requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification, with on-call responsibilities.

The unit performs caths, angioplasty, ablations, device procedures, TEEs, and cardioversions; schedule is 4x10-hour shifts with on-call. Candidates should have ADN or ASN (BSN preferred) and 2+ years in a busy cath lab; certifications include ACLS, PALS, NIHSS.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• At least 2 years of cath lab experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab unit within a cardiac care service line that includes Cath Lab, EP Lab, and CV Observation
• Cath lab procedures include caths, angioplasty, interventions, ablations, device procedures, TEEs, and cardioversions
• 1st shift schedule with 4x10-hour shifts per week
• Call required
• Deliver whole-person, patient-centered nursing care focused on healing and wellness
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, and coordination across the nursing process
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team and delegate tasks appropriately
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
