Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab/EP Tech for a cardiology unit in Joliet, IL. Cath lab experience and ARRT-R certification are required, with licensure as applicable.

This on-site role offers 8-hour day shifts, rotating on-call roughly 2 days a week and one weekend monthly, supporting interventional and diagnostic cardiac procedures while ensuring room preparation and supply par levels.

Qualifications

• Cath lab experience is required.
• ARRT-R certification is required; license if applicable.
• BLS required on hire; ACLS within 30 days of hire.
• VI certification preferred.
• IR department experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional and diagnostic cardiovascular radiology procedures in a cath lab setting.
• 8-hour day shifts, Mon-Fri 7:00-15:30 or 8:00-16:30.
• Rotating on-call approx. 2 days/week and 1 weekend/month.
• Scrub procedures or monitor physiologic/hemodynamic data during cardiac procedures.
• Ensure rooms stocked and prepared; monitor instrument par levels.
• Participate in staff meetings, improvement activities, and training.

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Tech for a cardiology unit requiring cath lab experience and ARRT-R certification.

Requirements

• VI (Vascular Interventional Technologist) certification preferred
• Previous experience in an Interventional Radiology department preferred
• BLS required upon hire and must be maintained
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire
• Proficient computer skills required

Responsibilities

• Cardiology unit cath lab setting performing interventional and diagnostic cardiovascular radiology procedures
• 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, between 7:00 AM-3:30 PM or 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
• Rotating on-call required, approximately 2 days per week and 1 weekend per month
• Assist physicians by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures
• Ensure procedure rooms are adequately prepared and stocked, monitoring par levels of instruments and supplies
• Participate in departmental staff meetings, performance improvement activities, and training of new staff
• Assist with all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures
