Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital Muskogee, Inc. seeks a Registered Nurse (Internal Traveler) to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process in accordance with hospital standards and unit policies.

The assignment is a 13-week contract on a 7:00am-7:00pm schedule with alternating weekends, requiring 1 year of related RN experience and Oklahoma or multi-state RN licensure. BLS/ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Has completed basic professional curricula of a nursing program and holds/entitled to hold a nursing diploma or degree.
• Valid multi-state or Oklahoma RN license required (or eligible).
• BLS and ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 1 year related RN experience in the chosen specialty.
• Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Document steps of the nursing process accurately.
• Provide patient education and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to meet patient goals.
• Prioritize and manage 12-hour shifts with attention to unit needs.
