Job summary

Trinity Health’s FirstChoice Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) role offers premium compensation and maximum scheduling flexibility. The mobile staffing solution places RTs across hospitals regionally and nationally, with travel and per diem opportunities.

You will work in varied settings, float across locations, and contribute to high-quality patient care. Qualified candidates are CRT/RRT-credentialed, licensed where required, and ready to float within the organization.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner Respiratory Therapist program; Registry eligible.
• Current CRT and/or RRT credential.
• Valid State License in Respiratory Care if required in the state you are working.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with patients, physicians and health personnel.
• Analytical skills to identify patient needs.
• Basic computer skills in a Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• Float throughout the hospital and/or multiple locations/regions as needed.
• Adhere to professional practice per AARC guidelines.
• Act independently within scope of knowledge and experience.
• Maintain accountability for decisions and outcomes.

Position Purpose:

What you will do:

• Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations and/or regions
• Knows, understands, incorporates & demonstrates standard elements of professional practice per AARC guidelines.
• Acts independently & appropriately within, scope of knowledge & experience in practice area
• Retains accountability for delegation, choices, decisions & outcomes
• Collaborates with key stakeholders & contributes to quality & improvement practices & outcomes
• Exhibits agility & willingness to take on new & additional responsibilities
• Embraces new ideas & cultural differences while managing competing priorities

Minimum Qualifications:

• Respiratory Therapist
• Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner -Accredited Respiratory Therapist program: Registry eligible.
• Current CRT and/or RRT credential.
• Valid State License in Respiratory Care if required in the state you are working.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with patients, physicians and other health personnel and department management during all situations and in line with our mission and values.
• Analytical skills necessary to identify patient’s needs.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills in a Windows environment.
