TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Madison, Wisconsin. The right RT should have 1 year recent acute care experience. The role will involve direct patient care in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories; evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patient being treated.
• Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.

Physical & Vision Requirements

Stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty. Lift 20 pounds easily; lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required. Must have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements

• BLS, NBRC, RRT, 2 Years
• Must have 1 year of experience.
• Must have BLS; ACLS. PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.

Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
