Overview

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Chicago, Illinois.

Job Description & Requirements

Responsibilities

• As a Respiratory Therapist, provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.
• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories. Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function. Report malfunctions to director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patients being treated.
• Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.
