American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift at a community hospital in Florida. Requires at least 1 year of experience and specialized ventilator skills to cover ICU, ER, and L&D units.

Candidates must hold current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications and a Florida license where applicable. Experience with end-tidal CO2 monitoring, airway management, and various ventilators is essential. Housing and travel arrangements are provided as part of the assignment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience.
• Florida state license required.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required.
• Experience with Servo I/Servo U/V60/AirVO2, bubble CPAP, EV300 equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to adult and neonatal/pediatric patients across ICU, ER, L&D, and other units.
• Manage ventilators including SIMV, BiPAP, and CPAP and troubleshoot high pressure alarms.
• Perform airway management including intubation/extubation assistance and suctioning.
• Draw and interpret arterial blood gases.
• Night shift: 19:00–07:00; every other weekend.
• Comfort with Meditech charting and clinical workflows.

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift community hospital position requiring at least 1 year of experience and specialized ventilator skills.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• RRT preferred, CRT accepted
• Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• Florida State License required (license required if applicable)
• Experience with end-tidal CO2 monitoring, tracheostomy care, and brain death apnea testing required
• Experience with exercise desaturation studies required
• Required experience with Servo I, Servo U, V60, AirVO2 (High Flow), bubble CPAP, and EV300 equipment

Responsibilities

• Acute care community hospital with 210 staffed beds
• Provides respiratory care across ICU, ER, Cardiac Cath Lab, Medical and Medical-Surgical floors, PACU, and Labor and Delivery/Nursery
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Meditech charting system, experience preferred
• Patient ratio of 1:18
• No block scheduling accommodations
• Schedules may be adjusted up to 48 hours before a shift
• Provide respiratory care to adult and neonatal/pediatric patients across multiple units including critical care, emergency, and labor and delivery
• Perform airway management including intubation/extubation assistance, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Administer a range of medications via nebulizer, MDI, and other delivery systems
• Manage ventilators including SIMV, BiPAP, and CPAP, and troubleshoot high pressure alarms
• Draw and interpret arterial blood gases
• Scrubs may be any color or pattern, plain or patterned, but must be free of logos
• Free parking available in any unrestricted spacei>
• Candidates must reside more than 30 miles from the facility
• Travel pairs and trios are not permitted
• Maximum of 10 days RTO permitted, subject to manager approval, with no RTO allowed during the first or last week of the assignment
• Holiday coverage required: 1 evening and 1-2 holidays depending on how many fall within the assignment
• More than 3 call-outs during the assignment may result in early termination
