Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Epic experience for a day shift travel assignment in Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics. The role requires BLS and RRT certification, license as applicable, and at least 1 year of experience in adult critical care settings.

Shifts are 3x12 hours (7:00–19:30) with rotating weekends/holidays. Local candidates within 90 miles may receive a lower bill rate and relocation housing support is provided.

Qualifications

• BLS and RRT certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• Minimum 1 year of experience required.
• Epic charting system experience required.
• Military-issued certifications accepted; AHA preferred; ARC not accepted.
• State issued ID required prior to consideration.
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration.
• First-time travelers considered given minimum experience is met.

Responsibilities

• Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit setting.
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30.
• Rotating weekends and holidays required.
• Works in Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department settings.
• Performs airway management including suctioning, tracheostomy care, intubation assist, extubation, and airway placement.
• Administers oxygen therapy using bag and mask, ET tube, HFNC, T-piece, and trach collar.
• Manages mechanical ventilation including BiPAP, CPAP, weaning, and troubleshooting high pressure alarms.
• Administers nebulizer treatments via hand held, T-piece, and trach collar methods.
• Completes required training modules pre-start, during orientation, and annually, tracked via Healthstream.
• RTO limited to 5 non-consecutive days, with only one holiday RTO request allowed during Nov-Jan, subject to management approval before contract signing.
• Candidates residing within 90 miles are considered local and accepted at a lower bill rate.
