American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for a night shift in a large acute care critical care unit. Requires 2+ years of experience and active state RT license with NBRC credentials.

Ideal candidates have BLS, EPIC EMR experience, and comfort with ventilator management. Position includes a strict night schedule with weekends/holidays as needed; local candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsabilidades

• Care for acute care hospital patients in respiratory therapy.
• Treat general medical, intermediate, and ICU patients.
• Determine treatment assignments per AARC point system.
• Operate and monitor ventilators and NIV/BIPAP equipment.
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and orders.
• Work 12-hour night shifts (0630-1900 or 1830-0700).
• Support a schedule with every other weekend and holidays as required.
• No on-call requirements and no RT department floating.

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for a night shift position in a large acute care critical care unit requiring 2+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting in a hospital respiratory therapy department
• Cares for general medical, intermediate, and ICU patients
• Treatment assignments based on the AARC point system, typically 26-28 points per clinician
• Uses Servo U, Servo i, and LTV ventilators, Trilogy BiPAP/CPAP units, ResMed S9 CPAP/BiPAP, and Fisher Paykel heated high flow equipment
• EPIC EMR used
• 12-hour night shifts (0630-1900 or 1830-0700)
• Works every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
• Every other holiday required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required within the RT department
• A team lead is available as a resource on each shift but does not carry a patient assignment
• Hospitalist and intensivist coverage available in-house 24/7
• Department orientation includes 12 hours of EPIC training, ventilator review, IPV, and specialty equipment review, followed by two 12-hour precepted shifts before working independently
• Any color scrubs permitted; scrubs are not provided by the facility
• Drug-free campus; negative drug screen required for all panels
• COVID vaccination not required
• Local candidates accepted
• Candidates within 50 miles of the facility are eligible for a reduced local pay rate
