Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week contract providing adult respiratory care across multiple facilities.

• 438-bed hospital with Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center designations, Level III NICU, and in-process Level II trauma designation
• Respiratory Care unit serving an adult patient population with 300+ patients per day
• 12-hour day shifts, 0700-1900, 36 hours per week
• Weekend rotation every other weekend, no on-call requirements
• Schedule cycle repeats every 6 weeks
• Required to float within Region 2 facilities (Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, and Central Division including CMC Main, CMC Mercy, and Levine Children's Hospital) as needed within scope of practice
• Uses Epic EMR
• Department equipment includes Servo ventilators (I, U, Airs), Trilogy, ResMed AirCurve, HiFlow, Airvo, NOXbox, and bubble CPAP

Requirements

• Experience with all floor therapies including BiPAP, CPAP, ventilators, and breathing treatments
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Must reside more than 70 miles from the home unit
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care services across adult critical care, ED, and progressive care units
• Support from Respiratory Care leadership and staff
• Orientation includes new employee orientation (NEO) plus 2 days of departmental orientation
• Royal blue scrub color required

• Travelers expected to work 75% of holidays
• Up to 6 days of RTO may be approved, excluding holidays, with any shortfall added to the end of the contract
• Strong team-oriented culture with emphasis on adherence to facility values
• Returning employees must be separated from any Advocate Health Southeast facility for at least 1 year after a permanent position
