Job summary

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center in Des Moines, IA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the FirstChoice staffing program. This part-time, 12-hour night shift role offers premium pay and flexible scheduling across hospital locations and regions.

Responsibilities include floating to units as needed, adhering to nursing processes (Assessment, Plan, Implement, Evaluate), and collaborating with stakeholders to improve quality and outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN graduation from an accredited school.
• Valid RN licensure in applicable state(s).
• 18+ months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele and PCU; 2+ years for Critical Care, Surgical, Maternal, ED, Behavioral Health.
• Specialty credentials (ACLS, TNCC, etc); BLS, ACLS, PALS must be obtained through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Float throughout the hospital and/or multiple locations/regions.
• Assess, identify outcomes, plan, implement and evaluate.
• Act independently within license, scope of knowledge and experience.
• Delegate, make decisions and own outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve quality and outcomes.
• Adapt to new responsibilities and cultural differences while prioritizing.
