Job summary

MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center in Iowa is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for FirstChoice mobile staffing. Shifts are 12-hour nights with flexible assignments across locations within the system.

This part-time role offers premium pay and float opportunities across Med Surg, Tele, PCU and specialty areas. Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold an active RN license, and meet minimum experience requirements by specialty.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active RN licensure in applicable state(s).
• 18+ months in Med Surg, Tele or PCU; 2+ years in other specialties.
• Credentials per specialty (ACLS, TNCC, PALS); BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Float across hospital locations and/or regions as needed.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care within scope.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support quality and outcomes.
• Adapt to new responsibilities and diverse practice settings.
• Maintain accountability for decisions and outcomes.
• Support cultural differences and manage competing priorities.
