Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the PCU in Burlington, MA. The assignment runs for 13 weeks with 72 guaranteed hours biweekly and weekly pay between 2704 and 2816 dollars, on 12-hour night shifts. Start date is 11/23/2026, with inpatient Floats to ED holds and PACU as needed.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS, Epic EMR experience, and the ability to titrate vasopressors. ACLS/NIHSS preferred; day-one onboarding tests apply.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred.
• Epic EMR experience is required.
• Must be able to titrate vasopressors.
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred; travel experience may be required.
• Day-one pass/fail testing will be administered.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care for adults on the PCU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data, and titrate vasopressors as required; escalate when needed.
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy and lines, ensure infusion safety.
• Document care in the EMR with accuracy; support thorough handoffs during shifts.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes and adjust care plans as conditions evolve.
• Float to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other units in four-hour blocks; maintain safety and continuity.

Requirements

• Active RN license in good standing (state of practice)
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred; NIHSS preferred
• Epic (EMR) experience required
• Must be able to titrate vasopressors
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred; if no prior travel experience, level 1 trauma will be required
• Day-one pass/fail testing will be administered during onboarding
