Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a PCU travel assignment in Atlanta, GA. The 13-week contract starts 11/16/2026 with a guaranteed 36 hours per week and day shifts in 12-hour blocks across three days.

Responsibilities include neuro assessments, medication administration, and discharge planning, with EPIC EMR documentation and a strong emphasis on patient safety and family education.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of neuro specialty experience.
• NIHSS documentation must be included in the CV packet.
• ACLS certification required.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Nursys license verification and a current nursing certification on file.
• Resume with no gaps greater than 60 days; include work history, skills checklist, references, and demographic information.
• Neuro/PCU nursing experience with ACS/step-down exposure is strongly preferred.
• No block scheduling and weekends not required.

• Provide direct nursing care for PCU/neuro patients, including frequent neuro assessments.
• Monitor neurologic status and respond to changes; administer medications and therapies per care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, care coordinators, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate treatment and discharge planning.
• Document accurately in the EPIC electronic medical record; maintain current and complete patient records.
• Support patient safety, pain management, and family education; assist with care transitions to higher or lower levels of acuity as needed.
