The setting is a hospital, and duties include delivering coordinated obstetric and gynecologic nursing care. You'll collect data, develop care plans, supervise nursing staff, participate in discharge planning, educate patients, and ensure safety.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California is required.
• BLS or CPR certification from an approved vendor is required.
• NRP certification from an approved vendor is required.
• Minimum two years of recent nursing experience in OB/GYN.
• BSN is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for obstetric and gynecologic patients per established standards and the nursing process.
• Collect and analyze relevant data; develop and implement care plans and adjust interventions accordingly.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing staff across multiple levels; collaborate with other disciplines.
• Participate in discharge planning to provide continuity of care; maintain patient safety and a healing environment.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and post-visit care; provide clear communication to the treating team.
• Document care accurately and contribute to shift handoffs and care coordination.

• Ability to work night shift in a hospital setting
